USING STANDARDIZED REAL PLUS MINUS (RPM) TO ANALYZE TWO-WAY AND ONE-WAY PLAYERS

So we've used Stephen Ilardi's published RPM stats on ESPN, adjusted by position (to create a more even distribution among ranks) to get a consolidate ranking of top offensive and defensive players. These players may not have the stats, but when they step on the court, they spatially warp the floor in ways that prove beneficial to their team. The top players are in the top 100 for offense, defense, or both categories (in the case of two way). It is out of 430 total NBA players. Years remaining includes this year as well.

358 Mason Plumlee BKN -2.53742
376 Steven Adams OKC -3.01222
380 Vitor Faverani BOS -3.16222
401 Tim Hardaway Jr. NY -3.87187
409 Ben McLemore SAC -4.08187
412 Tony Snell CHI -4.17187
421 Archie Goodwin PHX -4.56187
422 Anthony Bennett CLE -4.64805
428 Dennis Schroder ATL -7.3369

According to what is above, it looks like Matthew Dellavedova should win it. He plays purposeful basketball on both ends of the court. Also, note that the majority of these players (Ryan Kelly, Jeff Withey, Nate Wolters, Nick Calathes, Robbie Hummel, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope) I had rated very highly in my mock draft algorithms at the time of those drafts. Anthony Bennett and Dennis Schroder, the two who cluster the bottom of this list, ranked very low--Bennett ranked 25th, and Schroder couldn't cut my top 60.

Hopefully this post was enlightening using Standardized RPM to establish player hierarchies for both offense and defense.
